Introduction to NIRD Toolkit

NRIS (Norwegian Research Infrastructure Services) is organizing an introductory training on NIRD toolkit. The NIRD Toolkit is a Kubernetes based cloud infrastructure.

The NIRD toolkit allows pre/post processing analysis, data intensive processing, visualization, artificial intelligence and machine learning platform.

On this hands-on course, you will get an overview of the NIRD Toolkit and how to use the packages, get hands-on experience with JupyterHub and deep-learning tools and ask questions during the Q&A session.

Prerequisites

  • This is an online course via zoom. Participants require access to a computer (not provided by the course organisers) with internet connectivity.

  • Either a Feide account or a Feide OpenIDP guest account

Registration

The course is free of charge and is organised by NRIS. The last day to register for the course is 18 October. Register here.

IMPORTANT NOTE: In order to log into the NIRD Toolkit to participate in the hands-on workshop during the course, you will need to provide either a Feide account or a Feide OpenIDP guest account in the registration form. If you have a Feide account, you should provide the “Person’s principal name at home organization” from https://innsyn.feide.no/aboutme. If not, you can create a Feide OpenIDP guest account at https://openidp.feide.no/. Those who are using Feide openIDP guest account should go to minside.dataporten.no to find the field called “Secondary user identifiers” for the registration.
