NIRD Research Data Archive (NIRD RDA)

The NIRD Research Data Archive, NIRD RDA, is a repository that provides long-term storage for research data. The archive is compliant with the Open Archival Information System (OAIS) reference model [1].

Note

NIRD RDA Sandbox Available for Testing: In order to test workflows, applications, or integrations with the NIRD Research Data Archive (NIRD RDA), users can now use the Research Data Archive Sandbox (NIRD RDA Sandbox) — a dedicated testing instance of the RDA. The sandbox provides a safe environment for experimentation and development.

Please note that the RDA Sandbox is not a permanent archive. It is reset every month, and all data and metadata deposited will be deleted during this process. Data from the sandbox cannot be transferred to the production RDA.

Any datasets intended for long-term preservation should be uploaded directly to the Research Data Archive (RDA).
